Procedures for replacement of permanent residence cards for foreigners in Vietnam

I.  In case permanent residence cards has been replaced

Every 10 years, every foreigner who has a permanent residence status must replace the permanent residence card.

II.  Records for the procedure:

1.  An application form for replacement of the permanent residence card;

2.  The permanent residence card;

3.  A certified true copy of the passport, except for those without nationalities;

4.  03 photos size 2x3 (bare head, straight face, no color glasses, white background, photo taken within 6 months). 

III.  Legal basis:

1.  Law on entry, exit, transit and residence of foreigners in Vietnam in 2014;

2.  Circular No.04/2015/TT-BCA on 5^th January, 2015 on regulations on speciman papers concerning foreigners entering, leaving and residing inVietnam;

3.  Cicurlar No.31/2015/TT-BCA on 6^th July, 2015 on guidelines for issuance of visas, temporary residence cards, entry/exit permits and granting permanent residence status for foreigners in Vietnam.
