APEC Business Travel Card (ABTC)

APEC Business Travel Card (abbreviated as ABTC) is a card issued by competent authorities of countries and territories participating in the APEC Business Travel Card Program to its businessman to facilitate travel to carry out business, trade, investment, and service cooperation activities; attend conferences, seminars, and other economic purposes in APEC countries and territories participating in the Program. ABTC holders, when entering or exiting countries and territories named on the card, do not need a visa from those countries and territories.

ABTC has a validity period of 05 (five) years from the date of issue and cannot be extended; In case the validity period expires, a new card will be issued.

ABTC is only valid for entry and exit when the cardholder presents a valid passport.

Conditions to be considered for obtaining ABTC

Conditions for enterprises:

• Has been in continuous operation for 12 months or more, complies with the laws on trade, tax, customs, labor, social insurance, and other related laws;
• There must be direct signing and business cooperation activities with partners of APEC member economies;
• There is a need to send personnel to travel regularly and short-term to carry out business cooperation activities, trade, investment, services, or other economic purposes in APEC member economies.

Conditions for businessman:

• Being 18 years old or older with full capacity for civil acts;
• Currently working or holding an actual position at an authority, organization, or enterprise for 12 months or more by the time of request for permission to use the ABTC;
• Not subject to the cases of temporary exit from the country in accordance with law.
