Minimum salary for employees working under labor contracts applied from July 1, 2024

On June 30, 2024, the Government issued Decree No. 74/2024/ND-CP regulating the minimum salary for employees working under labor contracts.

1. The monthly minimum salary and hourly minimum wage applied for employees working for employers by region are as follows:

2. Adjust some areas currently having the minimum level in low areas to the minimum level in higher areas, specifically:

− Moving from Region II to Region I in localities in:

  • Quang Ninh Province: Uong Bi and Mong Cai cities and the towns of Quang Yen and Dong Trieu
  • Hai Duong Province: Hai Duong City
  • Dong Nai Province: Thong Nhat District
  • Long An Province: Tan An city and Duc Hoa, Ben Luc, Can Giuoc districts.

− Moving from Region III to Region II in localities in:

  • Hai Duong Province: Chi Linh city, Kinh Mon town and districts of Cam Giang, Binh Giang, Tu Ky, Gia Loc, Nam Sach, Kim Thanh.
  • Thanh Hoa Province: Thanh Hoa and Sam Son cities; and Bim Son and Nghi Son towns.
  • Khanh Hoa Province: Ninh Hoa Town.
  • Dong Nai Province: Tan Phu and Cam My districts.
  • Long An Province: Kien Tuong Town.
  • Soc Trang Province: Soc Trang City.
  • Bac Giang Province: Viet Yen and Yen Dung towns.
  • Thai Binh Province: Thai Binh city.

− Moving from Region IV to Region III in localities in:

  • Hai Duong province: Ninh Giang, Thanh Mien, Thanh Ha districts.
  • Thanh Hoa Province: Trieu Son, Tho Xuan, Yen Dinh, Vinh Loc, Thieu Hoa, Ha Trung, Hau Loc, Nga Son, Hoang Hoa, Nong Cong districts.
  • Ninh Thuan Province: Ninh Phuoc District.
  • Thai Binh Province: Thai Thuy and Tien Hai districts.

This Decree takes effect from July 01, 2024 and replaces Decree No. 38/2022/ND-CP.
